POST: MATERNITY COVER – PARENT ENGAGEMENT AND ADVICE

 

Part time – 16 hours a week

  • We are looking to employ one person for four hours a day, four days a week. Or two people for four hours a day two days a week each
  • You can choose your own hours (eg 10-2) and to work term-time only (39 weeks a year).

Based at The Winning Box 27 Station Road Hayes UB3 4DX with some outreach.

Salary £12 an hour + 40 a month to cover phone and other communication expenses.

This job requires you to have a DBS

 

Applications close noon on Thursday 28 February 2019. Interviews held in the week of the 4th March (travel expenses will be paid). Post commences  Monday 11 March 2019

 

Job Description

  • Engage parents and support them to join our programme
  • Attend events at schools, libraries and children’s centres
  • Fill in the Paperwork accurately
  • Use our Hanlon database to upload information on clients
    (Training will be provided on the database)
  • Help people to prepare a CV
  • Support parents to get into Work, Education and Training
  • Provide advice on Universal Credit and other benefits (Training provided)
  • Provide phone mentor support to clients

 

Person Specification

Essential

  • Open and engaging personality
  • knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Confident to engage parents and encourage them to attend the programme
  • Willing to learn about work, education and training

 

 Desirable

  • Access to your own laptop and phone
  • Current DBS
  • Knowledge of the GRoW Programme
  • Speak English and one other community language for example Urdu, Hindi
  • Happy to use a computer
  • Knowledge of Hillingdon
